My Fanatics Review revealed that the site is a pretty new addition to the US online gambling market, but it’s already available in states like Colorado, Connecticut, Iowa, Kentucky and eight more – and some states are in store for 2024.
That said, this review goes into detail about the sports and markets you can bet on, how to download the Fanatics betting app, what types of payment methods you can use, and everything else you need to know about this up and coming betting brand.

Fanatics Sportsbook has its very own special currency called FanCash, and this is how you’ll be awarded freebies, both as a new bettor and as a regular. The amount of FanCash you’ll get depends on the bets you place, and we’ve rounded this up for you below:
Type of Bet | FanCash Earned |
---|---|
Straight Bet | Up to 1% of bet amount |
Parlay Bet | Up to 3% of bet amount |
Same Game Parlay | Up to 5% of bet amount |
When you accumulate enough FanCash, head to the FanCash page when you’re logged in, and you can swap the FanCash for bonus bets. It’s worth noting that there are a few T&Cs that come with the FanCash; for example, you have to use everything you redeemed at the same time, and you’ll have to use it within 90 days. If you don’t want to use your FanCash on free bets, you can use it in the Fanatics merch store and at some of their affiliates stores, too.
The best thing about FanCash is that you don’t need to use any Fanatics promo codes to be able to start claiming your free cash – everyone is automatically eligible.

The Fanatics sportsbook experience is very similar to what you’d see at other sportsbooks, but it’s a little more modern, which makes sense as it’s pretty new. The Fanatics site has a premium look and feel, with a dark background and a sleek user interface. Viewing your open bets or settled bets can be done easily via your bet slip, and navigating the different areas like live events, or upcoming events can be done with just a simple click (or a tap if you’re on mobile).
Fanatics sportsbook is fairly new, so it’s no surprise to see that they have a few features that are sure to set them apart from the competition, as they become more established in the market. I’ll go into some more details about these features below.
This is a totally curated experience, made just for you. On the Discover page, you’ll find trending bets, promos, and rewards tailored for you and based on your betting history. This is the ideal way to discover new types of bets, and place unique bets that you might not have thought of otherwise.
This unique feature is based on the same kind of functionality that allows you to track online orders – just like food or clothing orders. Click on the withdrawal tracker when you’re logged in, and you can see the status of your withdrawal – for example, if it’s been submitted, accepted, or processed, so that you’ll have a better idea of when to expect your money.
Cashout is a key feature, because it allows you to potentially make some money out of a bet, even if it’s a loss. Cashout isn’t available for all bets though, but you can take advantage of it on certain singles and parlay bets. You’ll usually be able to see the markets that offer cashout, as they’re pretty clearly signposted.
Many online sportsbooks have some type of loyalty rewards program, or offer the occasional cashback or free spins promo to give bettors a little treat, but the FanCash program really stands out.
You don’t need to put in any extra effort, use extra promo codes, or increase your bet amounts higher than you’re comfortable with to claim the FanCash promos, as everyone gets them automatically. And you can choose to use the FanCash you earn to get free bets or buy merch, so it’s a lot more flexible than most other sports betting promos.
Fanatics is well known as an online merch site for sports gear like jerseys, hats and other clothing items, but expanding into the betting world was something brand new for them! Here’s a timeline of how it all shook out:
With the backing of the Fanatics brand, it’s no surprise that the Fanatics sportsbook has a good reputation. It’s rare to find any negative reviews, although of course there are a few out there. The apps are highly rated, and I had a look through some of the customer reviews when I was writing my Fanatics review. Besides a few people who were disgruntled with not winning, there’s nothing concerning floating around.
As I mentioned earlier in my Fanatics Sportsbook review, this is a really modern online sportsbook, so you can expect a slick experience on both desktop and mobile. Navigation is smooth and intuitive, and you’ll be able to make your way around the site with just a few clicks (or taps on mobile). Also, given that you can bet on pretty much all popular sports, Fanatics has something for everyone – whether you want to bet on single markets, parlays, props, or even in-play events, those types of bets are available.
While online sports betting sites can sometimes get by without having a downloadable mobile app – especially if their desktop and mobile browser experience is good – Fanatics Sportsbook really goes above and beyond when it comes to their mobile app experience.
To get the Fanatics betting app, you don’t need to manually go to the App Store or Play Store and search for it – you can just scan the QR code on the Fanatics Sportsbook website and you’ll be taken to get the app immediately.
It’s worth remembering that you’ll need Android 6.0 or higher, or iOS 15.0 or later to be able to get the app, and that it’s not compatible with iPads. The Fanatics betting app already has hundreds of thousands of downloads on both platforms, and the ratings are high, and climbing all the time.
I’m pleased to report that I was able to bet on all of the same markets as the desktop app has, and I was able to claim promos including FanCash from the mobile app. The mobile app design is extremely modern and sleek, and functions well on both iOS and Android devices.
Fanatics Sportsbook offers a good range of deposit and withdrawal methods that should suit all US bettors, but when I was writing my Fanatics review, I noticed that the methods vary depending on the state. So, you’ll be able to see the exact info when you sign up and log in for the first time. There are also a few methods that Fanatics sportsbook doesn’t accept in any locations, including credit cards, prepaid cards, Fanatics gift cards, Zelle, CashApp, and Play+ cards.
The most popular methods include instant bank transfers, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, debit cards, checks, and wire transfers. It’s worth noting that the minimum deposit is $5 for almost all of these methods, and all deposits should arrive in your account immediately.
Whenever you’re ready to withdraw, you can use most of the same methods, with the exception of Apple Pay. I was happy to see that the minimum withdrawal amount is as low as $1 for most methods, and the money usually only takes 2- 3 days to reach you. If you withdraw using a check, be prepared to wait about 10 working days.
Remember that you can’t withdraw any of the best sportsbook promotions or free bets that Fanatics awards as real cash money – you’ll have to use them to place bets on the Fanatics Sportsbook site.
One thing I noticed immediately when I was researching my Fanatics sportsbook review was that I was able to find almost any info I needed directly on the Fanatics sportsbook website, without needing to contact a team member directly. There’s a massive FAQs section that’s packed with useful information, including a betting guide for almost all of the sports.
Despite the helpful FAQs section, the Fanatics Sportsbook customer support team is available 24/7 and you can contact them by email (it may take up to 24 hours to get a response) or through live chat – which is much quicker and the better option in my opinion. To access live chat, log in to your account and click on the “Chat with support” option within your account section. The team should reply within a matter of minutes.
“Is Fanatics legit?” is a fair enough question, especially when you’re going to be using your own real money. I had a very good look into the level of security and licensing when I was writing my Fanatics sportsbook review, and I found that this is a totally legit place to bet.
Firstly, you can trust the main Fanatics brand, as it’s so well known throughout the US. There’s no way Fanatics would ever associate themselves with a dodgy sports betting website. Also, when you bet at Fanatics, you’ll be making use of trustworthy payment methods like PayPal, Venmo, and debit cards, and you can rest assured that all of your personal and financial data is protected by encryption technology and firewalls.
Fanatics Sportsbook is available in quite a few states already, and you can sign up and start betting if you’re located in one of these states and aged 21 or over. These are the legal states:
Rather than a standard rewards programme, Fanatics does things a little bit differently – and I’d even go as far as to say a bit better than most other sportsbooks. As I mentioned earlier in my Fanatics review, you’ll earn FanCash when you wager, and you can use this to get free bets to use on top sports and markets. Outside of that, Fanatics doesn’t have a whole lot in the way of promotions, but that might change down the line.
If you like what you’ve seen so far in my Fanatics sportsbook review, you might be on the lookout for a few more similar betting sites. You can check out a few of my favorites below.
This betting site comes with a downloadable mobile app for iOS and Android, and betting options for a whole lot of sports including football, basketball, tennis, golf, and soccer.
If you’re looking for generous bonuses, I can recommend DraftKings as an alternative to Fanatics. This sportsbook allows you to claim up to $1,000 in bonuses, and the range of sports to bet on is excellent too.
FanDuel allows you to bet on all of the major leagues like the NFL, NBA, NHL and more, and there’s in-play betting just like at Fanatics.
If you live in a region where sports betting is legal, you will have access to the table below. Check how well Fanatics’ offer compares with its closest rivals. In some states, you may only have access to offers for Daily Fantasy Sports.
There’s certainly no shortage of sports and markets to bet on at Fanatics, and that applies whether you’re betting on desktop or mobile since the selection is the same. While researching my Fanatics Sportsbook review, I put together a list of the top sports that you can bet on here:
You can bet on events in all of the major leagues like the NHL, NBA, and NFL, as well as games further afield, like UK and European soccer, and the Canadian Football League. And when it comes to the actual markets, it’s pretty similar to what you’d see at other online sportsbooks – for example, you can bet on the outcome of the game, the exact score, certain players to score, and more common markets.
The above varies quite a lot between the different sports, and some of the bigger ones like soccer and football naturally have more available markets. It’s also worth mentioning that Fanatics has retail sportsbooks in Connecticut, Maryland, and Ohio, so if you prefer to go into a physical location to place your bets, you can do that too.
When you’re looking at sportsbook odds, remember that there’s never one specific site that has the best odds for all events and markets, so you might need to shop around. However, I’m happy to say that Fanatics has odds that are up there with the best in the business, and thanks to in-play betting, you can take advantage of the latest odds when you’re placing your bets. Fanatics Sportsbook also has regular odds boosts, so you might be able to get even better odds on some matches.
Fanatics Sportsbook gives you the option to bet during events, so that you can take advantage of the latest odds and make informed decisions during the game. When I was writing my Fanatics review, I also noticed that there are stats available for NBA and NFL player props and parlays – even live player stats displayed when viewing player props during the game.
Also, if you click on “My Bets” on your betslip, you’ll be able to monitor the progress of your bets in real time. One downside to the in-play betting at Fanatics sportsbook is that they don’t have live video streaming of the events, but that’s a small detail in comparison to the site’s positive sides.
Fanatics sportsbook is not known for applying restrictive limits to bettors, but the maximum amount you can bet will depend on the particular sport and market. When I was writing my Fanatics review, I found that the maximum payout amount is currently $1,000,000 for any one bet, so keep this in mind when you’re placing your wagers. However, for casual players, this limit should be more than high enough.
It was pretty easy for me to come to a conclusion about Fanatics sportsbook – I would definitely recommend it. While the sportsbook section is still pretty new, Fanatics is a well known brand that sports fans will absolutely be familiar with, so you know their reputation precedes them.
Even for a new sportsbook, Fanatics has a good range of features that set it apart from the rest, including the FanCash rewards, live betting, and a pretty good limit for high-rollers. Overall, a great experience is in store for those looking to register at Fanatics.
Fanatics sportsbook is licensed in all of the states where it’s available, so it’s been approved by each state’s official body. With secure payment methods and strict privacy protocols, you’re in good hands when you bet here.
FanCash is a special offer at Fanatics Sportsbook, that gives you either 1%, 3%, or 5% of your bet amount back, and you can use that money to buy free bets or get Fanatics merch.
Fanatics sportsbook is currently legal if you’re located in the states of Colorado, Connecticut, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia or West Virginia, and, of course, if you’re aged 21+.
For such a new online sportsbook, Fanatics is really making waves already. I was impressed to see the wide range of sports available to bet on, including basketball (of course), football, tennis, golf, motorsports, and so much more.
The odds are also pretty favorable, so you won’t be losing out if you place your bets here. In fact, you’ll be in store for some perks no matter how your bets do, thanks to the innovative FanCash program – which gives you up to 5% of your bets back! I’m really looking forward to keeping an eye on Fanatics Sportsbook over the course of this year and beyond, and as soon as I hear about any new Fanatics features, I’ll add to my Fanatics review.
