I would say that FanDuel is among the greatest sportsbooks and fantasy betting sites currently operating in the United States. So, I’m very much of the opinion that the more FanDuel legal states there are, the better.
Unfortunately, the way the law currently stands in the US means that legality cannot be enjoyed by everyone. But, as you can see, the number of states where FanDuel is legal has only been on the rise for the last few years, and I hope that the majority of Americans will be able to enjoy their world-class services soon.
All forms of gambling – that’s both daily fantasy sports and traditional sports betting – comes down to the decision of the individual jurisdiction. This has only been the case since the 2018 overturning of PASPA, so this is very much something that’s an ongoing process. I do expect more states to provide legal gambling in general, which will increase the number of FanDuel states as well.
Do note, that just because sports betting and/or fantasy betting is legal where you live, that doesn’t necessarily mean you are part of what states you can use FanDuel, as each jurisdiction provides its own licences. This means there’s a huge amount of difference in available betting sites, even amongst those legal US betting states.
Furthermore, fantasy betting is legally considered distinct in many states. So the question “is daily fantasy sports legal?” and “are sports markets legal?” must be considered separately. This also increases the chance of FanDuel legal states becoming available to you in some guise or another.
What states can you use FanDuel in? Right now, you can find all that’s available for you online. Please note that this is always an ever-changing process and just because where you live right now doesn’t offer FanDuel, that doesn’t mean that can’t change in the future.

Actually, Fanduel states legal options on their website, so you can find the full list on there. Otherwise, it will become immediately obvious when you attempt to create an account because when you put in your address, it will not be accepted if you live somewhere FanDuel doesn’t operate.
Of course, before you can think about any FanDuel fantasy promo code or sports betting market, sports/fantasy betting will need to be legally viable in your state. A quick search of the legality of gambling in your state should provide you with the latest updates on the FanDuel legal states for you.
If you’re living somewhere where sports and/or fantasy betting is generally legal, you may be wondering why it’s important that FanDuel is available in as many parts of the US as possible. After all, there will be many other sportsbooks regardless of your location’s FanDuel legal states status.
Well, it’s important because they provide one of the best betting experiences in the world – creative, generous, and immensely user-friendly. That goes for both their traditional and Fanduel daily fantasy sports betting. That’s why I want to see them in as many places as possible, and highly recommend them if they’re available where you live.
FanDuel is a sports betting and fantasy betting site. They’re considered by many, including me, to be one of the finest examples of each. They’re wonderfully user-friendly (including tutorials if you’re totally new to fantasy betting), have excellent customer service, a brilliantly designed desktop and mobile experience, and offer some of the most creative contests and promotions I’ve ever seen. People care whether they’re available specifically because they’re simply one of the best out betting experiences out there.
Yes, it will be. Firstly, there’s whether or not sports betting and/or fantasy sports betting is legally available where you live. If it’s not available generally, there’s no chance of FanDuel being an option. Beyond that, it will be clear from FanDuel themselves, as they provide a list of available states and will not allow you to create an account if it’s not geographically available. And, you can always check out the list on this page if you’re unsure.
Yes, that’s possible. It’s worth pointing out that even if FanDuel is available where you live, there may be some differences to what is available. For instance, they may offer different promotions. There might also be differences in what they can legally offer despite broadly being available. College betting, in particular, often has specific geo-restrictions. That said, I would say that FanDuel does what it can to provide as comprehensive an experience as possible for all users.
